CCTV Drain Survey

A CCTV drain survey is a specialist part of the services that we offer that is used to handle more complex issues or when standard detection equipment hasn’t revealed the problem.

With CCTV drainage surveys, we use equipment that allows us to see into the drains with cameras and to survey the condition of them. Sometimes this is used when you are buying a home and want a comprehensive survey on the condition of the drains to see if there are any problems.

Another common reason for the CCTV system to be used is when there is a leak or blockage in the drain and normal checks have been unable to isolate it. This often happens when the leak is deeper underground or away from the house. No-one wants to randomly dig up areas of your land to find the leak so the best way to find it is to use a CCTV survey to check where the problem is.

Drain surveys of this nature are also used to check for problems such as tree root ingress or corrosion of the pipe. These can lead to leaks and other big problems if left unchecked but need to be isolated to their exact location before the work can take place.
